Daniel is a Senior Manager in West Monroe’s Energy & Utilities practice. With over 25 years of telecom experience working with fortune 100 companies as well as start-ups, Daniel brings a wide range of expertise and perspectives as he assists utilities with strategies, technologies, business cases, feasibility studies, roadmaps and the implementation to meet the needs of the business.
Daniel has led a variety of utility clients through telecom roadmap & strategy development and the accompanying fiber, microwave, and wireless network deployments as part of their grid modernization efforts. Daniel has also helped clients with IIJA & IRA efforts, Digital Divide & Rural Broadband Programs, pLTE analysis, and FTTx new business offering feasibility analysis & go-to-market plans.
Prior to joining WMP, Daniel built and sold an ISP by developing the business model, securing financing, designing and building the company’s people/organization, network and operations. Daniel continued to work with the acquiring company, leading the acquisition due-diligence and people/process/technology integration efforts to acquire another 50+ companies, tripling its size to over 185,000 subscribers across 12 states. Daniel then served as VP of operations to transform the company’s customer service, field operations, and network into a single, cohesive organization.
Known for his unique understanding of the interrelationship among business, financial and technology drivers, he is committed to developing business-minded technology professionals. He also supports his local community as a member of the board for the Red Oak Economic Development Corporation.
