Surya Bommakanti

Head of Cloud Software and Services
Ericsson

Surya Bommakanti is Vice President and Head of Cloud Software and Services for Customer Unit Regional Carriers, at Ericsson North America. He is responsible for creating solutions and leading business development in Cloud Software and Services for US regional customers and utilities.

Since joining Ericsson in 2010, Surya has driven the modernization of core networks and the development of cloud computing and virtualization solutions with several major operators. As the head of the Mobile Broadband Practice, he led wireless access pre-sales solutions and customer engagement in the United States and Canada.

Prior to Ericsson, Surya worked in a variety of management roles leading business development, product management, and engineering at Nortel Networks in wireless, wireline and core network technologies in North America, Australia, and Asia.

Surya received his MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, University of New South Wales. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering at Monash University in Australia.
