Thomas (Tommy) House, PE, has served as Power Delivery Connectivity Supervisor at Alabama Power Company since 2021, where he leads several connectivity initiatives across the organization, including APC's Long Haul Underground Fiber Program. Prior to his current telecom-focused role, his 17+ year career at Southern Company has spanned across multiple operating companies and business units, primarily in the Transmission function as well as Generation, serving in a wide-variety of roles in design, operations, maintenance, and project management. Tommy is enthusiastic about fiber deployment, its role in the modernization of the electric grid, as well as the opportunities and economic development that the same fiber deployments can bring to all corners of the State of Alabama, which he and his family have called home for generations.
Tommy holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Alabama, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Alabama.
