Private wireless networks have become central to utility modernization, and the foundational element of any private wireless network is radio-frequency spectrum. It is for this reason that careful selection and acquisition of spectrum is now a major challenge for utilities. This presentation will discuss what critical infrastructure providers should consider when acquiring spectrum, with special emphasis on the new nationwide 1.4 GHz utility band.
