Todays converged devices offer ways to extend the coverage footprint of traditional Utility LMR operation. Don will detail how converged devices operate today. In addition he will provide a breakdown of the pros and cons of the new vocoder options for mission critical push-to-talk. Finally, Don will provide some possible applications using converged devices to increase the safety of Utility workers.
