With more utilities choosing to install private LTE, and Wi-Fi 6E and 7 pushing utilities out of 6GHz microwave to 11GHz, tower demand is increasing rapidly. In contrast, local zoning and permitting is getting stricter for erection of new towers and 3rd party leases are driven by this increased demand. With all these considerations, what should utilities be doing to setup for long term wireless network success? In this session the need for more towers, the options available, and the timelines required will be discussed and compared.
